Dr. Mark Resetarits, Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Mark ResetaritsTo my patients I am known as Dr. Mark.  I grew up in a family that used chiropractic care regularly. My grandfather, a great supporter and advocate of Chiropractic Care, was part of my inspiration to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.  My interest in the healing art of Chiropractic arose out of my study of the natural world and spending great am ounts of time in nature. As I studied more about our bodies ability to heal itself and how Chiropractic promoted this science, it sparked a passion and vision in myself to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Doctor means teacher, and part of my mission is to educate my patients on a healthier lifestyle and be instrumental in helping them achieve this goal.

I graduated from Utah State University with degrees in Natural Resources Conservation and Environmental Studies. I attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and graduated in 1994 with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I have been in private practice in Salt Lake City, Utah, since July of 1994. I have travelled over the years to study with the top doctors in my field to master different techniques and to further my education.  This knowledge helps me personalize each patients care to best support healing.

The oath I took at graduation from chiropractic school states: "I will keep the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the sick as my first most duty ....". I do my best to honor that oath.

I enjoy several hobbies which include: skiing, rock climbing, biking, camping, hiking, reading and learning.  Most of all I enjoy spending time with my wife and two beautiful children.

Barb Haskayne, Office Manager/Chiropractic Assistant

Barb HaskayneI was born and raised in California and moved to Salt Lake City in 1994 in search of a more peaceful and adventurous lifestyle. I enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures.

I was working at the University of Utah recruiting students when an opportunity to work in the world of wellness presented itself. In 1998 I took that opportunity and have been at Great Basin Chiropractic every since. I have had extensive training in the philosophy of Chiropractic as well as the clinical aspect of our body’s ability to heal itself when free of subluxations. I have committed myself to helping our patients and my community on the path to a healthier lifestyle. As my knowledge has grown over the years I have become a passionate advocate of the principles that a balanced nervous system promotes optimal health.

I am dedicated to Great Basin Chiropractic’s mission to be a pillar in the community promoting wellness, elimination suffering and improving quality of life by reducing stress in the nervous system using Chiropractic adjustments.

We are passionately committed to fulfilling this mission, to create a healthier and ultimately happier community.

I moved to Salt Lake City over 20 years ago after completing my initial training in massage at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon.   Massage therapy brings together my love of movement, the human body, and working in the health field into a daily focus.

Over the years my education has continued with training in St. John Neuro Muscular Therapy, myofacial therapy, and most recently a focus on rehab exercises.  My best teachers have been all of you.  It is an amazing partnership, one of mutual trust, respect, and frankness.  I am forever grateful to every one of my clients.
