Tis the Season:
Vitamin D3, immunity, and cold & flu season.

Beginning November 1st each year until April 1st, we are unable to make Vitamin D3 from sunshine. The angle of the sun is such that the UVB rays needed to make D3 in our skin, do not penetrate our atmosphere. As a result of this – unless we supplement – we are drawing on whatever stores are in our body from the last 8 months.

Research shows that globally there are 1 billion people that are vitamin D deficient. The reported rate of deficiency in the U.S. is 35%. The Vitamin D Council recommends testing D3 as part of you annual check-up. Some Functional Medicine Docs recommend testing twice a year.

So, start taking your D3 with K today. The recommended maintenance dose is 5,000 IU/day. If you are deficient – a recommended loading dose is 10,000 – 20,000 IU per day for 60-90 days, and then have your labs redone to then adjust your dose.

D3 5,000 with K, and D3 10,000 with K are available at our estore @ MResetarits.metagenics.com.
